Home Again

I returned home last night at about 8:30 pm to find my recent purchase from Knit Picks waiting. What a treat. These are all sock yarns, and I'm looking forward to knitting them up soon. From left to right, they are Sock Garden (100% merino) Geranium; Sock Landscape (100% merino) Cape Cod and Mountain Dusk, and Simple Stripes (75% superwash wool, 25% polymide.) All are very soft, the Sock Garden and Sock Landscape require hand washing. We'll see about that.

I also received the Lucy Neatby book of sock patterns for striped yarns. It's a bit smaller in size that I imagined, but will be easy to tote around in my knitting bag, which is a good thing. The book contains only six different patterns, but many tips and techniques for heels, toes, cuffs, etc. Many possibilites for a wide variety of custom designed socks. Once I finish the unpacking, laundry, and general cleaning today, I hope to spend some time reading it over.

I'm almost done with the mountain colors socks and the Debbie Bliss is still waiting. Next week I'll have some free time before starting my new job, so I hope to put a big dent in the knitting projects.
