My birthday was earlier this week, and today we celebrated. Thanks for the gift certificate Mom! Next Saturday we are getting together to visit A Good Yarn in Brookline. I can't wait! I've been dying to try Koigu socks, but have been reluctant to spend $11.00 per skein. (Can you believe it, me, reluctant to buy yarn??? Yes, occasionally fiscal responsibility kicks in, but not for long.)
The book and book light came from my wonderful sister-in-law. With all my extra commuting time, I'll have plenty of time to read. And the light will be great for reading in bed. Thanks!
And finally, the box of Debbie Bliss Merino Aran from Herschners was waiting for me on the doorstep this afternoon. It is so beautiful. Maybe this means another cable sweater in my future?

Happy belated birthday! Once you knit with the Koigu you will realize that eleven dollars is a steal ;). And A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is one of my favorite books! You had a great birthday! Enjoy the shopping.
