Max is the super intelligent, sometimes poorly behaved beast we rescued from the local shelter back in 2002. When we found him, he was 2 or 3 years old. He'd been abandoned by his owner, and was the quietest dog at the shelter. He impressed us by shaking hands and giving us a "high five" when we were introduced. Someone, at some time must have loved this dog, because he came to us knowing a bunch of commands...Sit, Lay Down, Come, Sit Pretty, Speak....and in the few years we've had him, he's happily learned more...Head Down, Roll Over, Open the Door, Go Lay Down, Hurry Up!. I am very proud of him.
