Branching Out - Finished!

Yarn: Knitpicks Andean Treasures, 100% Alpaca, Embers, 2 skeins
Needles: Susan Bates, circular US size 8
Pattern: Branching Out
Start: July 4
Finish: July 25

Comments: I had a number of false starts trying to follow the chart at first, but by the end of the first skein I had it memorized. The Knit Picks alpaca was a pleasure to work with, very soft and elegant feeling. A tip: the pattern is symmetrical, which is important to remember when trying to find a dropped stitch. By comparing the right side of the pattern to the left, it was much easier to see where I'd gone astray. I will definitely use this pattern again.

It looks great! I love the color.

The air felt almost fall-like this morning - a little sign that we will be needing things like scarves and mittens all too soon . . . .

So pretty! You did a great job on that, and I'm jealous that you had the pattern memorized by the end. I had a death grip on the chart the whole time! I don't think I'm cut out for lace, but you may be. :)

Very pretty.

That scarf is on my list of things I want to knit someday.
