Here's a close up of my latest "on the needles". Columbine Peaks from Cat Bordi's "Socks Soar on Circular Needles". After rearranging the needles following the mobius knitting adventure on Friday, I'm making good progress. This pattern is one of my absolute favorites. It is interesting enough to be entertaining, but repetitive enough to be easily memorized and soothing to work. One tip - please use stitch markers between the pattern repeats. And count your stitches often. Until you are comfortable with the pattern, it's very easy to drop one of those end of the row yarn-overs.
The yarn is Regia Stretch, in color 87, a heathery light blue. It's a nice change from all the self-patterning and variagated yarns I've been using lately.
And in other news, in a complete and total Knitpicks impulse buy (the email newsletter works), I purchased two books, Knitting on the Road, and Sock Journal: Knit the Year in Socks, and two sock yarns, Jig and Ballet. The postman attempted to deliver my order yesterday, but we were out celebrating my father-in-law's 65th birthday. Happy Birthday Dad, and Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!

That's a really pretty pattern (and pretty yarn)...I just took that book out of the library, but I'm still not sure about the two circs technique...so far the dpns have been working out for me.
